Quranic Arabic Course

Moving beyond memorization to uncover the true meaning of your daily prayers

Overview

When "Quranic Arabic" is mentioned, a question immediately comes to mind for most of us: "Is this a Tafsir (exegesis) class, or an Arabic class full of complex grammar rules from start to finish?" Actually, Quranic Arabic is neither of these.

What Quranic Arabic Is Not

Not a Tafsir Class

  • It does not explain verses at length or get bogged down in extensive commentary.
  • It avoids navigating back and forth between different secondary interpretations; instead, it directs interested participants to specialized Tafsir books.
  • However, it does not leave the meaning of the verse superficial either.
  • The core objective is to grasp the exact meaning of every word and sentence directly through the context of the verse itself.

Not a Grammar Class

  • It does not delve deeply into advanced or abstract academic grammar rules.
Despite this, it systematically covers essential foundational grammar topics without getting lost in technical details.
  • All grammar concepts are taught directly through specific Quranic verses, directly assisting in uncovering and deeply understanding the text’s core meaning

What is Quranic Arabic?

Quranic Arabic is the practice of understanding the text by analyzing verses word by word.

  • Uncovering what specific words mean within the context of the Holy Quran.
Exploring the semantic connotations and spiritual resonances these words evoke.
  • Examining their equivalents in modern language and how they are applied in daily understanding.
  • Acquiring essential foundational grammar rules in a simple, clear, and highly accessible manner without transforming the journey into a rigid linguistic exercise.

Course Structure & Curriculum

The program is progressively structured, moving from foundational daily supplications to deep structural text analysis:

Phase 1: Short Surahs & Prayer Supplications

The course begins with the most frequently recited short Surahs and prayer supplications to bring immediate consciousness to daily worship: Al-Fatihah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Kawthar, Al-Asr… Subhaneke, At-Tahiyyat, Allahumma Salli & Barik…

Phase 2: Major Surahs

Students then advance to intermediate textual study focusing on renowned, long-form thematic Surahs: Surah Yaseen, Surah Al-Fath, and Surah Al-Mulk

Phase 3: Selected Thematic Excerpts

Later on, short, high-impact sections from various parts of the Quran are studied to broaden vocabulary and general comprehension skills.

Additional Digital & Interactive Learning Tools

Vocabulary Resource: At the conclusion of the lessons, students are provided with a dedicated vocabulary portfolio containing the most frequently occurring words in the Quran.

Interactive Application: Participants receive unique credentials (username and password) to log into a digital practice platform featuring tailored exercises such as fill-in-the-blanks, matching matrices, and i’rab (grammatical analysis).

Retention Assessments: End-of-unit evaluations ensure that newly gained knowledge is fully consolidated and permanently retained.

The Ultimate Objective
The core objective is to understand exactly what the verses we recite during our prayers, the Surahs we read outside of prayer, and the supplications we frequently repeat are communicating to us.

Through Quranic Arabic:
We shift our acts of worship from simple rote memorization to a state of profound consciousness and spiritual awareness. It does not claim to make you an absolute master of every linguistic nuance (“I have understood everything”). Instead, it unlocks a transformational daily connection:
“The verse I am reading right now is giving a direct message to me.”
